Connect International

Beginnings Of A Customer Support Service

Connect International started as a concept in 2006 by the prior owners of Bonded Collection Corporation in Chicago. At the time, the industry discussion was all about cost savings through offshore locations, and many clients were requiring a Customer Support Service.
Instead of looking at traditional (and crowded) locations such as India and the Philippines, we looked no further than Managua, Nicaragua for our captive BPO location. It was not an obvious choice; however, we were convinced to look at the location by one of the founding partners of Connect International, Juan Montealegre. After one short visit, we were sold!

In the early stages of our operations, many of our collection industry friends accompanied us on trips to Managua to look at our location. At the same time, they were equally impressed and we soon sold them some of our excess seats, along with our management expertise. Shortly thereafter Connect International was formally established and we never looked back.

Fast forward and we have over 500 agents working on behalf of dozens of customers across various industries.

Our Customer Support Service Centers

Connect International LLC is based in the United States, and our operations are located in Central America. Specifically, we have chosen Managua, Nicaragua, and Panama City, Panama, as two of the most educated and business-friendly environments to locate our operations.

Our work is performed in state-of-the-art facilities, with standard security protocols, including site security and biometric entry controls. In case of emergencies, a back-up generator also supports the facilities in the unlikely event of any occurrence that may result in a temporary loss of power.

Our communications are conducted over broad bandwidth fiber optics lines. Voice and data flow freely, resulting in high-quality voice communication and no latency with the data flow. This makes us one of the top choices for a Customer Support Service.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Ken Rubin

Ken Rubin, CPA, is the Managing Partner of Connect International. Ken joined the Accounts Receivable Management industry in 2000 with Bonded Collection Corporation, where he gained experience in call center management. From there, he built his skills in helping customers outsource critical processes effectively and smoothly. Ken sold Bonded Collection Corporation in 2012 to Hollis Cobb Associates, Inc., where he continues working as their Chief Financial Officer.

Ken received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa. He joined the firm of Coopers & Lybrand and obtained his Certified Public Accountant designation in Illinois. He later returned to school, where he received his Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. After graduate school, Ken relocated to the West Coast and worked at Intel Corporation in various finance roles, including several product development teams. Ken concluded his career at Intel as the Finance Controller in their Flash Products Division. During his tenure at Bonded Collection Corporation, he earned his Masters of Jurisprudence from Loyola School of Law.

Ken was instrumental in launching several successful endeavors, including an enterprise software program for the ARM industry and a debt buying fund. He is a sought-out advisor to professionals in the Accounts Receivable Management industry and leads presentations at industry events. Ken currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with his family, both human and dogs.

Juan Montealegre

Juan Carlos Montealegre was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, and is the Current President of Connect International. He has a degree in Global Business with a mention in Finance, which helped him start one of Nicaragua’s first collections agencies during the late 1990s, CAFIN, S.A. Before this agency, most of the collections efforts had been made by attorneys.

Juan has been in Account Receivable Management for over 15 years. At Connect International, he has overseen the company’s growth from just ten positions to over two-hundred and fifty since 2007.

Juan currently lives in Nicaragua and is now pursuing a Law Degree.

Lori Cameron

Lori Cameron was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and educated in both Scotland and London, where she earned her degree in Electrical Engineering from University College London.

While Lori was a project manager for G.E. Communications, she was recruited by Stottler Stagg Technologies Inc. as their Project Director. 1995-2007 she co-owned ENPAT, a patent license and enforcement company. There, she successfully won a case against Microsoft. Lori co-owned and operated Arizona Mobile Access Technologies from 2005-2013 as well.

Lori is currently an active member of Rotary International and chairs many committees. She participates in overseas outreach projects, including administering Polio vaccines and wheelchairs, building tuberculosis hospitals in Mexico, and representing Phoenix Rotary 100. Lori was also President of Huachinera Arts and Cultural Center in Sonora, Mexico, from 2012-2015.

As General Manager at Connect International, she is responsible for business growth, overseeing daily operations, and client satisfaction.
Lori has three sons, six grandchildren, and a horse named Kitty.

Ana Valladares

Operational Manager, Nicaragua

Ana Marcela Valladares is the operations manager for Connect International, overseeing staffing management, resource allocations, production, performance, and client services for our Panama and Nicaragua Centers.

Previously, Ana was an investment advisor at The Official Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) known as PRONicaragua. This agency has positioned itself as one of the most dynamic and respected IPAs in the region, ranked the #1 Investment Promotion Agency in the world by the World Bank’s Association of Investment (WAIPA). During her eight years in PRONicaragua, Ana helped contribute to the attraction of over $1.1 Billion of foreign direct investment and helped generate over 44,000 jobs between 2008-2015. As a promotion manager for services, Ana successfully attracted a total of $253 Million of FDI and helped develop 5,139 jobs for the outsourcing sector. Ana resides in her hometown Managua, Nicaragua, with her loyal companion Joey.
